Anton Makarsky

Anton Makarskii is Russian theater and film actor, singer. He was born on 26 November, 1975 in Penza city. Actor in the third generation, grandson of Mikhail Kaplan, th National Artist of Russia. He has been involved in performances of the Penza Drama Theater since eight years old. At the age of 10 he was interested in sports and by the age of 17 became a candidate for master of sports in powerlifting. In 1993 he went to Moscow and entered the Theater Institute named after Shchukin that he successfully graduated from in 1997. Anton has been working at Mark Rozovsky’s theater named ‘U Nikitskih Vorot’ after which he joined the army. He served in the State Academic Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russian Federation, under the direction of Russia’s National Artist, Viktor Yelisseyev. He performed the main parts in musicals: Metro, Notre Dame de Paris, the musical play Arshin Mal Alan. He sings songs for television shows and movies, performs as pop singer, recorded his own solo album.
