After the invitation to film shooting and a successful debut, Ikhtymbaev was accepted as a full-time actor to Kazakhfilm studio. Ikhtymbaev’s works are distinguished by a variety of characters – from concise, harsh, and even cruel (Wolf Pup Among People) to heartfelt, but nonetheless decisive (The Gift to Stalin). His small but important role of Zohar in both Patrols reveals the hidden Eastern wisdom and simplicity of character.
